Someone forces you at the point of a gun to climb up a very tall ladder that somehow keeps getting taller the farther up you climb. When you eventually start to complain about your situation, someone else happens to wander by, hears you complain, and stops to tell you that you should be grateful that the ladder is sturdy enough to hold your weight otherwise you would fall straight to the ground.
